Netflix has made up its mind: So did Terra Nova find its savior?

For fans of Fox's doomed dino drama, Netflix's flirtation with picking Terra Nova up for a second season was a last gasp at salvation. But now that flirtation has come to an end: So what lies in store for Jason O'Mara, Stephen Lang and the rest of the colonists?

Well, odds are they can find other jobs: Netflix has opted to not pursue Terra Nova any further. It was always a long shot, given how much it cost to produce the show—which had as many executive producers (Steven Spielberg among them) as it did disparate plot threads—and the softness of the ratings.

And even though 20th Century Fox TV still holds the option on Terra Nova's stars—meaning that if they can get someone to foot the bill for a second season, those actors must report for duty—O'Mara, for one, is currently filming a Western pilot for CBS ... and it's only a matter of time before the rest of the cast follows suit and lines up new gigs.

It's looking like it comes down to this: If you desperately want to see more Terra Nova, might we suggest a really big bake sale?
