With Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’s upcoming 100th episode fast approaching, more information concerning the milestone installment for the ABC series has emerged, including the return of two former A-list big bads.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Hive and Lash are set to appear during “The Real Deal,” the landmark episode of the show. Both characters already met their demise during the third season, so it’s going to be interesting to see how S.H.I.E.L.D. will bring them back.

As some of you may recall, Hive was one of the first humans the Kree turned into an Inhuman, who then inhabited the body of the freshly deceased Grant Ward (Brett Dalton). Lash was the Inhuman form of May’s (Ming-Na Wen) ex-hubby Dr. Andrew Garner (Blair Underwood). The fact that the characters will appear does not confirm that either actor will return to reprise their respective roles, though, since Lash was played by Matthew Willig under heavy makeup and Hive (in his true form) was hidden beneath CGI.

The fact that we’ll get to see Hive and Lash again in some form or another comes hot-on-the-heels of the news that the show’s 100th episode will have Coulson (Clark Gregg)—whom Open eyeClose eye Show Spoiler we now know is dying and that he has to die in order to prevent the destruction of Earth reveal the deal he made with the Spirit of Vengeance in order to destroy AIDA (Mallory Jansen) in the Season 4 finale, which is said will have a huge impact on the team. The only thing that could make this episode even better than it already sounds is if Gabriel Luna returns to reprise the role of Robbie Reyes/Ghost Rider.

“Fans who hope that a 100th episode will contain something that will be a cataclysmic event or a gigantically resonate event for their feels after 100 episodes will not be disappointed,” said Gregg.

Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’s 100th episode “The Real Deal” is slated to air on Mar. 9. Check out the four artistic posters Marvel released so far on the Road to 100 below.
