After spending most of his career hating on films based on his works, comic god Alan Moore is making his own movies — and he has sent a message from the future to say thanks for helping.

Best known as the creator of Watchmen, Moore has most recently delved into the art of short filmmaking with a WTF series of films dubbed Jimmy’s End. To help finish the final installment, he’s Kickstarting some funds to wrap it all up with the last chapter, His Heavy Heart.

Moore is only a little over halfway toward his goal of £45,000, but he’s so confident he’ll hit the goal that he’s sent a message back from the future saying thanks for the help. Oh, and he’s also becoming a real English gentlemen out in the countryside. Just roll with it.

Not surprisingly, the Jimmy’s End series is a surreal bit of awesome weirdness, but it’s worth a look if you’re into that sort of thing.
