“Hello sweetie!”

Looks like River Song may not have said her final goodbyes to the Doctor just yet.

Actress Alex Kingston, who plays the wonderful River Song, has hinted/teased/implied that we we'll see yet  another appearance from the Doctor’s wife.

While speaking to fans in a BBC America video, Kingston said: “I look forward to sharing more of [River] with you in the future, but … spoilers!”

With rumors swirling about that River will appear in Matt Smith’s final episode as the Eleventh Doctor in the upcoming Christmas special (which has recently wrapped filming), where he will regenerate, the question is: Will River be there to accompany Peter Capaldi’s first baby steps as the Twelfth Doctor? And will her character also spill over into future Twelfth storylines?

This remains to be seen (Doctor Who showrunner Steven Moffat and company are a darn bloody secretive bunch), but it’s certainly an exciting notion.

Do you guys think that there’s more River Song to come, and do you think the character should also continue over into the Peter Capaldi era?
