Who's ready for more Iron Fist on Netflix? Everyone? Good. Though the first season of the show was met with wavering enthusiasm, Danny Rand and his shoeless antics are about to return for a second season, and things are looking up.
There's been a great new trailer, as well as plenty of images of both Jessica Henwick's Colleen Wing and Simone Missick's Misty Knight. All of these things are giving us hope for the return of Danny "The Immortal Iron Fist" Rand (Finn Jones), and a first look at one of the season's new villains is helping to further the cause.
The villain in question is none other than Typhoid Mary, set to be played by Alice Eve (Star Trek: Into Darkness). Two images of the character were released on Instagram today, bearing the caption "You never really know someone until you see both sides." In the first image, she looks nice and sweet, but in the second, she looks like a steel-bearing killer.
In the comics, Typhoid Mary was an enemy and former lover of Daredevil (he really has a type) who had the powers of fire, telekinesis, and a bit of mind control. She's also a skilled assassin with multiple personalities— one of them is the quiet Mary, another is the violent Typhoid, and the third is the brutal killer called Bloody Mary. This season of the show will feature the origin of the character, who is somehow linked to the returning Joy Meachum (Jessica Stroup).
Typhoid Mary, as well as Iron Fist Season 2, will arrive Sept. 7 on Netflix.
