The guys who brought us the awesome Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz — Simon Pegg, Nick Frost and Edgar Wright — have done it again. And now they’ve premiered the first trailer for their new pub-centric film with an alien twist, The World's End.

The geeky dynamic trio are finally reuniting for the eagerly awaited final installment in their "Three Flavours Cornetto" trilogy.

The new comedy movie with sci-fi undertones centers on five friends who get back together again to re-create an EPIC pub crawl ('cause we all know pub crawls are epic) they'd undertaken 20 years before but had failed to complete.

Of course, this is when the $#&! hits the fan as the five friends become witnesses to an alien invasion and *cue doom music* they realize they hold the fate of all mankind in their drunken hands.

There's plenty of scary alien action and comedy too. Sounds like a definite winner to us.

The World’s End also features Martin Freeman (Sherlock, The Hobbit), Paddy Considine (Hot Fuzz), Eddie Marsan (Sherlock Holmes) and Rosamund Pike (Wrath of the Titans).

Written by Pegg and Wright, the film will air in the U.K. on July 19 and will hit North America on Aug. 23.

Have a look:

What do you guys think? Will the world be saved by the quintet?
