If you’re looking for some new sci-fi stuff to stream this month, August brings a whole lot of great TV seasons, some weird movies you probably didn't know existed, and a boatload of fall premieres.

We’ve broken down everything genre-related hitting The Big Three — Netflix, Amazon Prime and Hulu —this month. The movie offerings aren't the strongest (aside from a few gems), but if you've been waiting to catch up on some excellent genre-related television, this is the month for you.

Check out the full list below and let us know what you’ll be streaming:

Luke Cage Season 1: Sweet Christmas, September is finally here. Netflix’s month is almost certainly led by Marvel’s latest series, Luke Cage. It’s riding a ton of buzz, and we can’t wait to check it out. This promises to be an interesting departure for the studio, and if nothing else, it should have one heck of a soundtrack.

Supergirl Season 1: The first season of Supergirl also flies in this month, giving you just enough time to catch up before Season 2 makes the jump to The CW. It takes a few episodes to ramp up, but this is absolutely a worthy sibling to The Flash.

Walking Dead Season 6: You can also enjoy Negan's arrival into the world of The Walking Dead with Season 6 of AMC's hit zombie series. Dead is firing on all cylinders these days, and a binge of Season 6 will serve as a nice refresher before we finally learn who dies at Lucille's hand (well, technically Negan's hand, oh, you know what I mean).

Penny Dreadful Season 3: This show was a major hit with critics, and ended abruptly this past season as a shock to fans. According to the producers, they felt they'd told all the story they wanted to tell, so they wrapped things up. They just didn't tell the fans it was coming beforehand. Check out the final season this month and see what all the fuss was about.

The Witch: This freaky, period-set horror film turned out to be an indie smash — and for good reason. It's unlike just about anything else you'll see in the genre, and takes a deep dive into its terrifying setting and world-building. If you missed it before, this is the perfect oppurtunity to check it out.

Braindead Season 1: This mash-up of political thriller and alien invasion story didn't find the biggest audience on CBS, but the folks who checked it out were pleasantly surprised. It's weird, wacky and a little on the nose. But also pretty good. If you're looking for something a bit outside the box, you could do far worse than this little gem.

Doctor Who Season 9The latest season of Doctor Who included some gems, and they'll all be hitting Amazon this month. Relive Clara's heartbreaking exit, and get ready for the introduction of new companion Bill (Pearl Mackie) when the next season finally arrives in sprint 2017.

Gotham Season 3 Premiere: Fall is here, and this is where a Hulu subscription comes in handy. By far the most enticing things on the menu here are the season premieres for currently running shows. If you want to keep up with the latest action in Gotham, this is your one-stop shop. The premiere for the new season is set to hit the streaming service this month.

The Last Man on Earth Season 3 Premiere: This is one of the weirdest, and most entertaining, comedies currently on television. Following a handful of survivors as they try to build a life in a world decimated by a plague, it's basically the anti-Walking Dead. The new season debuts this fall, and you can follow along on Hulu.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 4 Premiere: If you're a Marvel junkie and a cord cutter, you're gonna need some way to keep up with the latest development with Coulson and the gang. Season 4 promises Daisy on the run, LMDs, and a new director for S.H.I.E.L.D. What's not to love?
