Steve Harrington's luscious locks will continue to cascade off of Joe Keery's head as long as David Harbour loses at the Golden Globes. Let us explain.

Harbour was nominated for his performance as Hawkins Chief of Police Jim Hopper in Netflix's Stranger Things, getting placed in the Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Series, Limited Series or Motion Picture Made for Television category. The 42-year-old actor took to Instagram to voice his pleasure at being recognized, posting a picture of himself in character with an ill-fitting Christmas sweater hugging his midriff. You can behold the post in all of its glory below:

Keery commented on his co-star's photo to say that he'd allow the Duffer Brothers to shave his head if Harbour wins the award. We had to sift through thousands of Instagram comments to get the following screenshot, but it was totally worth it:

Most of the replies to Keery's comment warned him not to get rid of his magnificent mane of perfect hair. His 'do became quite famous in Stranger Things Season 2 when Steve gives Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo) advice on picking up girls. He reveals that the key to the perfect '80s hairstyle is the use of the Fabergé Organics shampoo and conditioner as well as four puffs of the Farrah Fawcett when your hair is damp, NOT wet. Dustin utilized the process to puff up his own hair for the school dance in the season's final episode, nabbing a slow dance with Nancy Wheeler (Natalia Dyer).

What do you think? Do you hope that Keery loses or wins the bet of his own design? Will the world be turned "Upside Down" by the loss of his locks? We'll find out the answer on January 7, 2018.
