Fear not, fair citizens! Amazon Prime has released a teaser video revealing the premiere date for Ben Edlund’s reboot of The Tick.

So when is the Big Blue Bug of Justice set to return? According to the teaser below, The Tick (played by Guardians of the Galaxy’s Peter Serafinowicz, who is awesome as the near-invincible blue-clad superhero) and his sidekick Arthur Everest (Griffin Newman, Vinyl) will make their hotly anticipated debut later this summer, on August 25.

The pilot was picked up for a full series order in September of last year and also stars Jackie Earle Haley (Watchmen, Preacher) as the villainous leader of the evil league The Terror, Valorie Curry (House of Lies) as Arthur’s sister Dot, Yara Martinez (Jane the Virgin) as Ms. Lint, and Brendan Hines (Scorpion) as Superian.

The new live-action take on the antennae-sporting superhero boasts a much darker tone than the original 2001-2002 series starring Patrick Warburton in the titular role, but still features some great comedy. Having seen the pilot, I have high hopes this series will hit the sweet, superhero comedy series spot — especially now that NBC's Powerless looks to be cancelled.

Are you looking forward to the first season of Amazon's The Tick?
