America Chavez is one of the most powerful characters in the Marvel Comics universe, and now she's getting a shot at solo glory.

The new America run is described as a "dimension-punching, high-octane superhero action adventure" from the creative team of young adult writer Gabby Rivera (Juliet Takes a Breath) and artist Joe Quinones (Howard the Duck). If you haven't been following along the past year or so, America is now running the Ultimates, and this series will follow her dimension-hopping battles (along with her efforts to continue her education in college).

America's ability to hop dimensions creates a unique storytelling opportunity, and it'll be interesting to see how they explore this with the extra pages of a solo book. She's been a highlight of pretty much every book she's shown up in over the past few years, and it's high time she got her own story.
