With the premiere of American Gods less than two weeks away, Starz has released a new featurette along with a character promo for their upcoming series.

Based on Neil Gaiman’s hit fantasy novel (Gaiman also serves as executive producer), the 10-episode TV show from showrunners Bryan Fuller and Michael Green centers on the brewing war between the Old Gods of ancient myths and the New Gods reflecting modern society’s mores.

The featurette includes fresh new footage and video interviews with stars Ricky Whittle and Bruce Langley as well as executive producers Neil Gaiman, Michael Green and Bryan Fuller. As for the character promo, this one focuses on Kristin Chenoweth’s (who previously made beautiful music with Fuller on Pushing Daisies) very bubbly Easter: “Once known as Ostara, goddess of spring, Easter's holiday has been usurped by Jesus. But she embraces the jelly beans and chocolate bunnies in an effort to stay relevant.”

The series stars Ricky Whittle as Shadow Moon, Ian McShane as Mr. Wednesday, Emily Browning as Laura Moon, Pablo Schreiber as Mad Sweeney, Crispin Glover as Mr. World, Orlando Jones as Mr. Nancy, Bruce Langley as Technical Boy, Cloris Leachman as Zorya Vechernyaya, Kristin Chenoweth as Easter, Gillian Anderson as Media, Corbin Bernsen as Vulcan, Demore Barnes as Mr. Ibis, Jonathan Tucker as Low-Key Lyesmith and Lost’s Jeremy Davies as the one and only Jesus Christ.

American Gods will premiere on April 30 on Starz.
