The Ryan Murphy-verse includes a vast and loyal bunch. So it makes sense that the huge roster of returning Murphy-ites appearing in American Horror Story: Apocalypse is expanding even further now that two Murder House veterans will be shooting scenes for the series’ new season in the next few days. The eighth season in the horror anthology series will combine elements from past storylines, which means lots and lots of familiar faces.
According to TheWrap, two of those faces will belong to Connie Britton and Dylan McDermott, both of whom starred in the series’ first season. Britton will apparently be filming scenes at the old Murder House set in L.A. while McDermott will be shooting a week later.
It would be very strange for the pair to reprise their roles as Ben and Vivien Harmon, considering the pair ended the season as ghosts. We suppose stranger things have happened on the show.
The pair join their in-show daughter Taissa Farmiga as returning members from Season 1, along with almost everyone from the witchy Coven season...which got the latest in a series of disturbing teasers today:
This season, with its star-studded cast, is sure to live up to its hyperbolic, Armageddon-esque preview videos and images. The Antichrist won’t enter into the world alone — not if Murphy’s Rolodex is still full.
American Horror Story: Apocalypse premieres on Sept. 12.
