American Horror Story: Apocalypse is turning into American Horror Story: High School Reunion. Both are equally scary, but only one can be safely viewed through a television screen.
It is no secret that the upcoming eighth season of American Horror Story will include a crossover with Season 1, Murder House, and Season 3, Coven. Because of that, lots of actors are returning to the show in familiar roles. And series creator Ryan Murphy is taking great joy in teasing out his actors' returns with tempting behind-the-scenes photos from Apocalypse.
Murphy and his cast have already shared photos detailing the return of Connie Britton and Dylan McDermott as Vivien and Ben Harmon and Evan Peters as Tate Langdon from Murder House, and Emma Roberts as Madison Montgomery from Coven.
Now, in a new post to Instagram, Ryan Murphy revealed our favorite young 'ship, back together again: Evan Peters and Taissa Farmiga as Tate Langdon and Violet Harmon.
Dating back to the first season of AHS, Murder House, Tate was a school shooter who was killed and later haunted the Harmon home. Violet was the teenage daughter of Vivien and Ben, who was having a hard time with her parents' troubled marriage. She ended up killing herself at the start of the season, but it wasn't until the end that it was revealed that she had been a ghost most of the season. It was kind of romantic, in a tragic, star-crossed way.
Murphy's Instagram photo of Peters and Farmiga as Tate and Violet on set is captioned "Tate and Violet. Together forever?" So perhaps things didn't end up so romantically tragic for them. Can you imagine being trapped, haunting the same house as your ex, for all of eternity? Now, that sounds like a true horror story.
American Horror Story: Apocalypse will also star returning AHS cast members Sarah Paulson, Kathy Bates, Billie Lourd, Frances Conroy, and Billy Eichner. One of the few new names that has been announced is Joan Collins. And as the recent tweet above reminds us, the beginning of the end is nearly nigh; Apocalypse premieres Sept. 12 on FX.
