The plot of pretty much every season of American Horror Story has been a closely guarded secret around FX, but creator Ryan Murphy has revealed where he's taking the show in Season 7.

Instead of focusing on a freaky asylum or coven of witches, the next season of the hit horror anthology will focus on the recent presidential election between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton. To quote, Murphy said during a recent episode of Watch What Happens Live that the new season focuses on "the election we just went through," and he thinks it'll make for an interesting story for fans (of both politics and horror, apparently). When asked if the season would literally feature a Donald Trump character, Murphy teased, "Maybe."

Hmm, okay, we're intrigued. Season 7 is tentatively set to premiere around October ... how do you think Murphy is planning to turn the election into a full-blown horror tale?
