People are busy. Everyone has so much going on — balancing family, friends, hobbies, and more while the world crumbles and global warming marches us closer each day to irreversible ruin — that it’s understandable to forget something every once in a while. A date. A favorite restaurant. A job in one of the highest-grossing film franchises of all time. Yes, even that last one.
That’s because actress Anna Kendrick — who played Jessica Stanley, Bella’s friend, in all but the final Twilight film — recently tweeted that she, well, forgot she was ever in the vampiric Stephenie Meyer franchise.
Sure, Kendrick has gone on to lead the lucrative Pitch Perfect series and kick off the Trolls franchise, but the fandom that forever changed the lives of Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart wasn’t ready to let her forget about her role, however small, in their romantic favorite.
Well, and there were plenty of jokes — including some from actors experiencing the same blocking-out of their less-than-favorably-reviewed films, the directors of the films, and fans just having a good time.
Check them out:
Everyone is allowed a pass, right? It’s just not common for that pass to be a film series that earned more money at the box office than The Hunger Games. But the fact that nobody will let this joke go is just a testament to Kendrick’s staying power... and the long memory of the internet.
