Another Arrow guest star is now a regular (but what does it mean?)

The CW's Arrow is upping the ante for season two. They recently bumped Colton Haynes (Roy Harper) and Emily Bett Rickards (Felicity Smoak)) from recurring to series regulars, and now they're doing the same for Manu Bennett. The actor, who plays Slade Wilson, is sticking around longer than we thought.

In the comics, Wilson goes on to become the villain Deathstroke. During the current season, Arrow has featured multiple characters with that moniker. Producers have been silent on whether Wilson will embody the famous villain.

At the moment, Wilson appears in flashbacks of Oliver's time on the island. He's been shown as an ally who's desperately trying to find a way home. Hopefully, Bennett's upgrade means we'll get to see more of how Wilson influenced the hooded hero.

Bennett is best known for his role as Crixus on Starz's Spartacus. He's currently wrapping its third and final season, which is subtitled War of the Damned.

Arrow airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.
