We’ve been wondering exactly how much old would be mixed in with the new in NBC’s upcoming revival series Heroes Reborn, and now we know one more piece of the puzzle.

Deadline reports that original Heroes star Jimmy Jean-Louis will return for an arc on the event series, reprising his role as The Haitian. The character played a recurring role in all four seasons of the original series’ run, and possessed the power to erase other people’s memories and block the use of powers from other super-powered players.

Considering Jack Coleman’s Noah was already coming back, it makes sense we’d once again see The Haitian, since the two characters were often linked in the original run. Along with those two original stars, Masi Oka’s Hiro Nakamura is also making a return trip. This puts the total of returning stars at three, meaning approximately one-third of the main cast will be familiar faces for fans.

The trio will be joined by several new actors, led by Chuck alum Zachary Levi. The rest of the new blood includes Judi Shekoni (EastEnders), Henry Zebrowski (A to Z), Robbie Kay (Once Upon a Time), Ryan Guzman (Pretty Little Liars), Toru Uchikado and Kiki Sukezane (The Yokai King).

The 13-episode Heroes Reborn miniseries will premiere later this year. Are you glad to see The Haitian is back in action?
