The wait is almost over, as Ant-Man and the Wasp will be buzzing into theaters next week. SYFY WIRE’s Katie Wilson was on hand at Hollywood's El Capitan Theatre for the Monday night world premiere of the hotly anticipated Marvel movie, where she rubbed elbows on the red carpet with the cast and crew.
Directed by Peyton Reed, the Ant-Man sequel stars Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Michael Douglas, Michelle Pfeiffer, Laurence Fishburne, Michael Peña, Walton Goggins, Hannah John-Kamen, Tip “T.I.” Harris, and David Dastmalchian. Speaking to Reed, this one revealed what he was most excited for fans to see.
“I’m looking forward to fans experiencing the new and different and weird ways we use the Pym particle technology,” Reed told us. “Shrinking and growing. And it occurred to us that ‘Let’s not just use it on people, let’s use it on vehicles and buildings and all these different things.’ So hopefully they’re going to see sequences in this movie that they’ve never seen in any movie.” Peyton also touched on Ant-Man’s more comedic tone as opposed to something like Avengers: Infinity War.
Moreover, we had the chance to chat with Marvel writer Bob Layton, who not only told us how thrilled he was about Ghost (played by John-Kamen) making her MCU debut in Ant-Man and the Wasp, but also shared Kevin Feige's secret superpower. Talking about Ghost, the Killjoys actress explained that we can expect a lot of badassery from her character.
