The Ant-Man press machine is rolling out clips, trailers, and featurettes at breakneck speed, all designed to entice us into spending our hard-earned cash. The enticement is working. In this latest clip, where we get to see Ant-Man in ant-sized action, I’m ready to demand that Marvel shut up and take my money right now.
In it, we get one of the more dizzying, delightful action sequences since Quicksilver’s slow-time scene in X-Men: Days of Future Past. We see Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) scurry like an insect away from the most dangerous foe he can imagine: shoes. Trust us, the scene is crazy cool.
Ant-Man is actually looking so good, that my plan to hate-watch it after former director Edgar Wright was ousted has been changed to just plain watching it.
Below that, we get a featurette, clips of the movie interspersed with commentary from the people behind the scenes. We like the way Evangeline Lilly talks about her character, Janet Van Dyne. “She feels that she has to do what’s right.”
Check them out. And let us know in the comments if you plan on hate-watching — or just watching — next weekend:
