The first trailer for Ant-Man and the Wasp has arrived, giving us our first look at Evangeline Lilly's Hope Van Dyne in action as the Wasp. If the footage here is any indication, her long-awaited debut looks well worth the wait.
The first trailer for the Marvel Studios sequel finds Scott Lang (Paul Rudd), Hope (Lilly), and Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) on the run (complete with a shrunken, carry-on-size office building) from a wide assortment of thugs and baddies. The details of the plot are still relatively thin at this point, as this first trailer is all about the action. The first Ant-Man pushed the visual limits, and Ant-Man and the Wasp looks to carry on that trend.
The humor is also there in spades, which makes sense, as director Peyton Reed is back in the chair for the second go-round. From callbacks to Captain America: Civil War to Scott's envy over Wasp's super-suit, this one looks like it should check all the boxes of what fans loved about the first film.
Ant-Man and the Wasp opens July 6.
