As the CW’s superhero juggernaut Arrow heads towards an intense seventh season, questions have been bubbling away -- only some of them about Oliver Queen’s goatee. Queen, aka the Green Arrow, has plenty to look forward to as his network expands its superhero offerings and thereby loosens up a few creative freedoms for its Arrowverse spearheader.
At San Diego Comic-Con, the show’s panel included a special video presentation followed by a Q&A with the cast and producers that revealed what exactly Queen’s secret identity losing its secrecy means for the hero. At their comfortable, annual spot to chat with fans, stars Amell, David Ramsey, Emily Bett Rickards, Katie Cassidy, Echo Kellum, Juliana Harkavy, Rick Gonzalez, and Colton Haynes appeared, along with executive producer (and new showrunner) Beth Schwartz.
But first, they aired the little Season 7 sneak peek above. Queen is jacked, scarred, and bearded in his prison storyline (which mostly seems to be him working out shirtless, taking showers, and doing basically anything to take his clothes off). Rickards teased that Felicity will be taking some action so that she can stop watching her back with Green Arrow in jail.
Then Schwartz dropped a cool, antagonistic bomb: Arrow will be adding three villainous Longbow Hunters -- Red Dart (Holly Elissa), Kodiak (Michael Johnson), and The Silencer(Miranda Richards) -- recruited by Ricardo Diaz (Kirk Acevedo) to enact revenge on Oliver and company after they took the burgeoning crime boss down in Season 6. And with Queen in prison... subduing these legendary assassins is falling on shoulders that don't want to bear it.
Arrow returns to The CW in its new Monday 8/7c time on Oct. 15.
