Team Arrow’s epic confrontation against Ricardo Diaz in Star City will finally come to an explosive head on tomorrow’s Arrow. Then next week in Central City, Team Flash will have their hands busy trying to stop DeVoe’s Enlightenment on The Flash. With the stakes at an all-time high for both teams, The CW has unleashed promos for both superhero series’ season finales.
Titled “Life Sentence” and penned by departing co-showrunners Wendy Mericle and Marc Guggenheim, Arrow’s Season 6 finale will find Oliver getting a new ally on his team while he engages Diaz in an “epic finale battle.” That new ally is likely FBI agent Samandra Watson, whom Oliver desperately turned to for help in the final minutes of last week’s episode so they could finally take down Diaz's web on corruption for good. Unless we get a surprise new ally (it'd certainly be a nice shock if Colton Haynes' Roy Harper showed up early?). Check out the trailer:
Seems getting a new ally is a theme also shared by The Flash. Next week’s Season 4 finale written by Todd Helbing and Eric Wallace will see Team Flash get “help from a surprising ally in their battle against DeVoe.” From what happened in last night’s dramatic episode “Think Fast,” that new ally is none other than DeVoe’s wife, Marlize, who may be the only one able to put a stop to DeVoe’s dastardly plans for humanity.
Based on the season finale trailer, Barry will also get his consciousness inside DeVoe’s by using The Thinker's chair... which will no doubt make for a surreal experience. Have a look:
Arrow’s Season 6 finale airs May 17 while The Flash will speed towards its fourth season finale on May 22.
