Fans got one heck of a shock when Arrow alum Caity Lotz was announced as a main cast member for The CW's spinoff series Legends of Tomorrow. So, what does she have to say about her return tour?
Lotz chatted with TV Line about what fans can expect from the new series, and though she couldn’t give away too much about her return (though that extended trailer made it seem like the Lazarus Pit could be to thank for her revival as White Canary), she did talk about the process of shooting the trailer and what fans can expect when the full series arrives later this year.
Here’s an excerpt from her comments, where she talks about what it was like to “slide back into that DC world”:
"Martial arts is still her thing, the actual, physical martial arts. I’ve been training with double sticks a lot, so I hope that’ll be my weapon … It's going to be big. I didn’t really know much about the show, but I was like, ‘I want to do it, I trust you guys.’ When we were shooting our teaser and they were telling me all the stuff that was going to happen, I was like ’This is way cooler than [what I thought].” Not that I didn’t think it would be cool, but it’s stuff I wasn’t even imagining or picturing."
We’re just guessing here, but we think Lotz is probably referring to the fact that Legends will find this ragtag team tasked with chasing the biggest threat in Arrow/Flash history through space and time. If The Flash was The CW going comic book-y, Legends is going to a whole new level. It's a brave move from The CW, and will seemingly be embracing the full-on sci-fi of it all. We. Can’t. Wait.
What do you think of Lotz’s return? Are you glad they brought her back for more?
