Entertainment Weekly has just unveiled its four awesome Game of Thrones magazine covers, featuring Mother of Dragons Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke), “You Know Nothing” Jon Snow (Kit Harington), Tyrion “The Imp” Lannister (Peter Dinklage) and the wolf girl, Arya Stark (Maisie Williams).
The pics on the four mag covers look really cool (Dany's dress is amazing), but what’s even cooler is that we’re getting a very nice, close-up look at Arya’s new ensemble for season five. You can check them all out (along with a pic of Arya to be found inside the new EW issue) in the gallery below. Actress Maisie Williams talked about Arya's less tomboyish and cleaner, definitely more feminine, look, saying:
"It's very neutral, very plain, but clean! I have clean hair that actually moves. I came onto the set and nobody recognized me."
Showrunner David Benioff said of the upcoming season:
“Worlds are colliding. One of the things we’ve been most excited about from the beginning of the series is we’ve had all these far-flung story lines across Westeros and Essos which almost never cross. Now some of these characters start to head on a collision course for each other.”
Producer Bryan Cogman added:
“With each season, the stakes get higher and higher and the war gets bloodier and bloodier. We’re in season 5 and there’s an expectation for big events and consequences.”
And those big events and consequences include having characters that don’t die in the books bite the dust on the HBO series. Question is: Which of your fave characters will fall victim to the next big bloodbath and go to the Seven Hells? No. One. Is. Safe.
The fifth season of Game of Thrones will premiere on HBO on April 12. You can go ahead and watch the brand-new trailer here. What do you think of Arya's Braavosi look?
