They took their sweet time but Starz has finally released the first groovy teaser trailer for Season 3 of Ash vs. Evil Dead. Premiering in early 2018, the 10-episode third season picks up where Season 2 left off.
Ash (Bruce Campbell) is now being heralded as a hero, having saved his hometown of Elk Grove from the triple-threat of Baal (Joel Tobeck), the Necronomicon and an army of Deadites, thanks to a bit of time-travel. “He begins as the hero of the town. It lasts about 10 minutes. And we’re going to find his fatherly instincts in Season 3,” Campbell recently told SYFY WIRE.
Yep. The one and only Ashley “Ash” J. Williams will have a long-lost daughter in Arielle Carver-O’Neill (Predestination). Also back for a bloody encore is everyone’s favorite demon Ruby (Lucy Lawless), as well as Ash’s faithful sidekicks Pablo (Ray Santiago) and Kelly (Dana DeLorenzo), who's bringing a new friend in tow, played by Lindsay Farris (Gods of Egypt). Said Campbell of Season 3:
“You’ve got to start finding out why this average guy who lives in a trailer park was foretold in an ancient book. That’s the fun of Season 3 for me. Pablo is going to get much more in touch with his shaman side. Kelly is going to be more of an efficient badass. Ruby is going to show her true colors, which are not good. There is hell to pay.”
Here’s the official synopsis as per Starz:
The third season finds Ash, having gone from murderous urban legend to humanity-saving hometown hero, discovering that he has a long lost daughter who’s been entrusted in his care. When Kelly witnesses a televised massacre with Ruby’s fingerprints all over it, she returns with a new friend to warn Ash and Pablo that evil isn’t done with them yet. But evil will learn to never get in between a papa bear and his cub.
Ash vs. Evil Dead returns for a third season on Feb. 25, 2018.
