Ash vs. Evil Dead has been a Starz star ever since it aired on last year, bringing us chainsaw-related antics sprinkled with some sweet one-liners. And Blastr got a chance to speak with several cast members about the upcoming season 2. We have the video for you, below.
Bruce Campbell, Ray Santiago, Dana DeLorenzo, Ted Raimi (brother of Sam Raimi, who directed the original Evil Dead films and executive producers of the TV show), and Lee Majors talked—oh, who am I kidding? Campbell did most of the gabbing, reminding us that in Season 2, the action will move to Ash’s hometown of Elk Grove, Mich.
Campbell also tells us Lee Majors (The Six Million Dollar Man) will be playing Ash’s father: “Ash has a very macho persona, and as you know, this man comes from the generation of actors who were born with body hair.” Because the apple doesn't fall from the chainsawed tree, Majors’ character hits on Lucy Lawless’ character in a bar.
Sadly, Lawless wasn’t on hand to talk about her character, Ruby, who took the Necronomicon in exchange for a few paltry lives. But we got to hear a bit about the evil hellspawn that Santiago’s character birthed in a particularly horrific way at the end of Season 1.
Most importantly we got some pure Campbell attitude. Check it out.
Ash vs. Evil Dead's season season will air on Starz starting Sept. 23.
