The newest cinematic trailer for Assassin's Creed Origins definitely goes darker, and considering these assassins work in the dark, it shouldn't be much of a surprise, right?
The latest footage looks to set up a conflict in Egypt that will be a long-spanning one, with multiple rulers at play, foreign invaders from Rome, and yeah, that sure looks like Cleopatra to us. Will she align herself with the forerunners of the Templars? It very well could be. The trailer also seems to introduce Caesarian, her son with Julius Caesar, who she made her co-ruler toward the end of her rule.
As for our protagonist, Bayek, he certainly gets the job done when he takes out guards and his target in increasingly inventive (and difficult-to-believe) fashions. Just wait 'till you see how he fires his last arrow.
Assassin's Creed Origins, the 10th major game in the franchise, hits store shelves Oct. 27, 2017, on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
