If you've ever wanted to hop into an X-Wing and dogfight a squadron of TIE fighters with a few close friends, the latest Star Wars game is for you.
Remember a few months back when we found out that Lucasfilm had registered a few new mystery domains, all centered around the phrase "Attack Squadrons" or some variation thereof? Well, it turns out Attack Squadrons is the latest videogame to come out of Lucasfilm's Disney era (after the new Battlefront game), and if you love epic space battles, it looks like a dream come true.
According to the game's official website, Star Wars: Attack Squadrons will be "a free-to-play online space combat game where players customize iconic Star Wars™ ships and engage in high-velocity 16 player dogfights in fabled Star Wars locations." The game will feature three different mode in which you can either form a team and dogfight other teams, attack an enemy base or defend your own base from attack, or just launch into a 16-player death match. The more missions you complete, the more opportunities you'll have to upgrade and customize your ships, and the game promises "new ships, items and upgrades every month."

Pretty cool, right?
Star Wars: Attack Squadrons doesn't have a listed release date yet, but if you just can't wait for some space fight fun, you can always head over to the website and sign up to be a Beta tester.
