Two pretty significant birthdays for actors today. Both with empty chests, but that might be sort of a spoiler in one case. So, in chronological order backwards ...

Justin Theroux was born on this day in 1971.

We are pretty big Leftovers fans around here. We know: you stopped watching during the first season. The teenagers were boring and everyone smoked and it was bleak. But look, notes taken, Seasons 2 and 3 were legitimately incredible TV.

Theroux was born in Detroit, Michigan and went to Bennington College for visual arts and drama. He was on Strangers with Candy, he was on Six Feet Under and Alias, and lends his voice to the next LEGO move, but mainly? Mulholland Drive:

In other birthday news, Jack Haley was born on this day in 1898.

Born in Boston, Haley was a vaudevillian, was on radio and worked with Shirley Temple, Frank Sinatra, Lucille Ball and has a HUGE body of work in early radio, film and TV.

You know him as the Tin Man in The Wizard of Oz.

Tomorrow: Jim Lee!
