It’s been a long wait, but the acclaimed 1960s Batman series is finally (finally, finally) getting a home release. Want to see the first trailer?
The rights to the show, which starred Adam West as the comic book-y Caped Crusader, have been mired is red tape for years, which has prevented the series from ever getting a legit, full-fledged DVD or Blu-ray release with all 120 episodes. Until now.
Warner Bros. Home Entertainment plans to make a splash about the pending release of Batman: The Complete Television Series at Comic-Con later this month, and has scheduled a panel with special guests Adam West, Burt Ward and Julie Newmar for Thursday, July 24, from 6-7 p.m. in Hall H.
The studio will be dropping some new info on special features and the like at the event, but while we wait, they’ve released a stellar sizzle reel that is a zip-bang dash of nostalgia. Seriously, just watch the preview and try to tell us you’re not psyched for this:
The home release is tentatively set for November 2014.
