The epic crossover to end all epic crossovers is finally here! Adam West’s Batman is about to team up with Lynda Carter’s Wonder Woman for the first time ever in a brand-new comic book series. This is the stuff fans have been dreaming about for years! How freakin’ awesome is that?

The news was officially announced during Wonder Woman's 75th anniversary panel at New York Comic Con. Titled Batman ’66 Meets Wonder Woman ’77, the first of 12 digital issues (slated to be released every two weeks) will launch on Nov. 23. It’ll then become available in print as a six-issue series in January 2017. So, what will the story be about? Here’s the official synopsis:

What mysteries are hidden in the book Ra’s al Ghul just hired Catwoman to steal? And why does this caper lead Batman down memory lane—to his childhood fight against actual Nazis?! Witness his first encounter with one of the greatest heroes the world has ever known: Wonder Woman!

The DC Comics miniseries will be co-written by Jeff Parker (Batman ’66) and Marc Andreyko (Wonder Woman ’77) and will feature the 1966-1968 TV version of Batman and Robin, played by Adam West and Burt Ward, and Lynda Carter’s iconic Wonder Woman. David Hahn (Batman ’66 Meets the Man from U.N.C.L.E.) and Karl Kesel (Harley Quinn) will team up to illustrate the pages of the comic, with Michael Allred on cover duty. Issue #1 will also feature a variant cover by legendary artist Alex Ross!

“It was Batman ’66 by Jeff Parker that inspired me to ask about doing Wonder Woman ’77, so getting to co-write with him is a dream come true. The story we’re spinning spans 30 years as these two legendary Super Heroes fight an ancient evil across the decades. We’ve planned lots of twists, cameos and surprises along the way that fans of both series will appreciate,” said co-writer Marc Andreyko in an official press release.

With Parker adding: “Readers have asked for this team-up since the Batman ’66 comic began and I’m thrilled we’re able to finally make it happen. Most of the credit goes to Marc Andreyko. He found me at a show and within minutes had me fired up about the story possibilities. It really feels like Lynda Carter and Adam West going into action again, this time together.”

The first digital chapter will be made available on Nov. 23 via various platforms, including the DC App, DC's Readdcentertainment, iBooks, comiXology, Google Play, Kindle Store, Nook Store and iVerse ComicsPlus, before leaving a paper trail in January 2017 (no specific date yet).
