Sorry, DC fans, but the Caped Crusader won't be joining the Arrowverse, even after Oliver Queen, aka Arrow (played by Stephen Amell), made a passing reference of Bruce Wayne during last season of Arrow.
“There’s no discussion about a [Batman] series. Batman already exists in the Arrowverse because last season Oliver Queen mentioned his name at one point. And Batwoman, if the series goes forward, lives in Gotham. There’s no plan at this time to have Batman appear," said CW president Mark Pedowitz at the 2018 TCA summer press tour Monday in Beverly Hills.
The mention of Gotham City's most famous vigilante came when Mayor Queen assured a group of reporters that he is not the Green Arrow and that any photos that seem to confirm his secret identity were obviously doctored.
"They could've put Bruce Wayne's head on that body. Has Bruce Wayne left Gotham to hang out in Star City recently?"
All the bat-related action will come from the introduction of Batwoman into the Arrowverse. While a standalone series is in the works, she'll be making her debut during the annual fall crossover between The Flash, Arrow, Legends of Tomorrow, and Supergirl. Not too long ago, a rumor surfaced that The CW was looking for a lesbian actress to accurately portray one of the first LGBTQ characters in the DC Universe.
“We’ll do a pilot for mid-season, whether it goes to series, I cannot tell you,” Pedowitz said, nothing that they already have five DC series on the air and "just added a sixth night.”
