It can't be easy when you're a mega-superstar playing a certain superhero, but your kids prefer a different comic book character over yours. That's the problem currently plaguing Aquaman star Jason Momoa, who told The Hollywood Reporter's Heat Vision that his son is more of a Batman fan, while his daughter is obsessed with Wonder Woman.
Nevertheless, the 38-year-old actor got his son to start drinking the Aquaman Kool-Aid (or seawater, rather) after the film's first trailer dropped online.
"They were supposed to go to bed at nine. They ended up going to bed at 11, and they were just beating me up," he said. "I have this picture of my son, who taped sticks together and made his own trident. It's amazing."
The sopping wet preview that dropped at Comic-Con last week was not only a showcase of Arthur Curry, but for the man who plays him as well.
"We want to make sure the trailer positions who he is, and also positions who Jason Momoa is," said director James Wan. "This guy who is so full of life and so full of personality."
Aquaman swims into theaters December 21 and also stars Amber Heard (Mera), Patrick Wilson (Orm/Ocean Master), Nicole Kidman (Queen Atlanna), Yahya Abdul-Mateen II (Black Manta), Willem Dafoe (Nuidis Vulko), and Dolph Lundgren (King Nereus).
