Batman v Superman with a Guardians-style intro is weirdly perfect

Much like the first film, the intro to Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is pretty much perfect. But what if Zack Snyder had taken a page from that playbook with Batman v Superman?

One intrepid fan decided to answer that question and framed Batman’s warehouse fight as a new-look intro for the film, complete with a Guardians-esque soundtrack and the flying credits. It’s always amazing to see the difference music can make in how you perceive a scene, and that’s certainly the case here. Sure, it’s still super-grim dark, but you at least get the sense that Batfleck is having a bit of fun along the way. Plus, the freeze for the title card is pure perfection.

With Warner Bros. looking to lighten up the tone of the DCEU with Justice League, this could be a (comical) peek at how things could change in the next few years. I mean, it’s pretty much impossible that Snyder would ever go full James Gunn, but still. Anything is lighter than Dawn of Justice.
