Tim Burton is putting together a live-action take on the animated Disney classic Dumbo, and he’s looking to get one of his old Batman pals to play the film’s Big Bad.

Variety reports Michael Keaton, who famously played the Dark Knight in Burton’s seminal Batman films, is in talks to play the evil circus owner who acquires Dumbo’s circus. Along with Keaton, Colin Farrell is in talks to star alongside Eva Green and Danny DeVito in the project.

If you’ll remember, the classic Dumbo animated flick from 1941 follows a baby circus elephant who learns he can fly thanks to his large ears. It might seem a bit against type for Keaton, but remember he’s also playing the Vulture in Spider-Man: Homecoming. So, Keaton is definitely hanging up his metaphorical cape and cowl for the foreseeable future.

The project is only the latest live-action adaptation of an animated classic, following projects like The Jungle Book and Beauty and the Beast. Upcoming projects include The Lion King, Aladdin, The Little Mermaid and Mulan.

What do you think of the Dumbo casting news? Do you want to see the old Bat gang get back together?
