Joe and Anthony Russo's Captain America: Civil War was crammed with over 2,000 visual effects shots, complicated stunts, devastating detonations, and creatively choreographed stunt scenes, making it one of Marvel's most intricate films to date.

All this glorious cinematic magic required the technical wizardry of nearly 20 SFX houses, including Industrial Light & Magic, Cinesite, Dneg, The Third Floor, Luma VFX, Image Engine, Method Studio, and Weta Digital.

A new 12-minute sizzle reel showcasing the mind-numbing digital effects conjured up for this Marvel mega-movie was just released by Gradient Filming, illuminating the intensive processes, tools, and tricks necessary to bring our cherished superheroes to life on the silver screen.

Have a look and appreciate the wondrous layers of creativity and imagination on display, with a bit of extra footage of the film's breakout star, Black Panther!
