That ambiguous ending of Battlestar Galactica sure stirred up a lot of debate. (A debate that's still going on.) Whether you loved it or hated it, it sure got people talking. And one of the hottest topics was: What really happened to Starbuck?
Charlie Jane Anders got a chance to sit down with Moore at San Diego Comic-Con and asked him about our favorite blond fighter pilot. Here's part of what he had to say:
I think she was a representative of an entity that didn't like to be called God, but everybody else talked about it in godlike terms. If you want to call her an angel, you could say that. She went through a resurrection story that was very Christlike. And you know, what are the implications of that? I felt, as I went into the finale, that the more I defined exactly what she was, the less interesting she became.
