College professor Benjamin Percy has made a rare and successful transition into superstar comic book writer, retaining his trademark dark wit and creating compelling narratives for anything he lends his pen to. Following a compelling turn on DC's Green Arrow and Teen Titans, Percy is now writing Nightwing and adding in elements of today's deep cultural unease and daily digital life into the series' pages.

SYFY WIRE sat down with the award-winning, baritone-voiced author to hear how DC's Dan DiDio asked Percy to bring elements of his "Dark Web" novel, The Dark Net, into the DCU and dose it "with whiskey and broken glass," learn about Nightwing's new story arc centered around the hot topic of cybercrime, and how the former Dark Knight sidekick is actually in the center of his own web of heroes and a vault of vulnerable data.
