Half of all life in the universe has been wiped out by Thanos (Josh Brolin) and Wong (Benedict Wong) still doesn't have a tuna melt. That's how you know the Marvel Cinematic Universe is in dire straits.

Last we saw of Doctor Strange's fellow sorcerer, Wong was returning to the Manhattan-based Sanctum Sanctorum after the battle with Ebony Maw and Cull Obsidian. He could not leave the Sanctum unguarded, which led Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo) to call Captain America (Chris Evans) and his crew of on-the-run Avenger convicts for help.

We don't know what happened to Wong after the infamous Infinity Gauntlet snap, but the man who plays him, Benedict Wong, has posted a mysterious photo that offers a bizarre look into Avengers 4 from the film's makeup chair.

"Happy to be filming @avengers 4. But the cleaning of spoilers is a bit much!?" reads the caption that accompanies a very strange photo, where gloved hands are peeling off the backside of the actor's head.

As additional filming for Avengers 4 began this month, we can assume Wong's photo is part of the pick-ups, reshoots, or second unit work.

What could this image possible mean for this Master of the Mystic Arts? Did he survive the snap? Well, we can only guess at this point in time, but if we had to take a shot at the ol' MCU dartboard, we'd say it has something to do with a trippy magical sequence, akin to Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) multiplying himself during the battle on Titan.

Wong's got an extra face in the back of his head, or a third eye, or he's hiding an Infinity Stone in the back of his skull. Or maybe he's just got a really bad sunburn and he's starting to peel. Nothing is too crazy for these characters, given the fact that they were created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko in the drug-fueled '60s.

We'll get a definite answers when Avengers 4 hits theaters on Friday, May 3, 2019.
