For the past few years, con-going fans have been taking cosplay to a whole new level, with design and pro-level craftsmanship that'd make Stan Winston sit up and take notice. And you, the reader, seem hungry to see what kind of amazing stuff people come up with -- cosplay galleries are some of the most highly-trafficked content we have on Blastr.
With that in mind, the folks at Syfy Australia (disclosure: a division of Blastr's parent company) have come up with a new way to showcase the best con cosplay. They call it the FanCam360, but it's basically the same technology used to create the nifty, swooping bullet-time effects in The Matrix.
The effect is pretty awesome and creates some great posing opportunities for creative cosplayers to stage some interesting scenes ... as you can see in the video below, created by Syfy Australia after they took the FanCam360 to the Supanova cons in Adelaide and Brisbane to celebrate the from-the-beginning re-airing of Battlestar Galactica in that country. Check out their best-of video below, and start petitioning to bring this thing global.
