On Valentine's Day, Star Trek fans gathered in full costume in London for what they're calling a world-record gathering of costumed Trek fans ever, and we've got video of the event.

The event was organized by Namco Bandai in commemoration of the launch of Star Trek Online.

In a bit of understatement, a guy who is a dead ringer for Capt. Jean-Luc Picard observes of the event, "We don't get out that often."

So how many people were there? About 99, and observes that that seems like a relatively small number; it's already agitating for a Las Vegas event to beat that supposed record.

What do you think? And would you show up at a Vegas event in full Trek regalia?
