If you’ve been jonesing to have The Science Guy back on TV, we have some good news for you.

Deadline reports Netflix has ordered a new talk show called Bill Nye Saves the World, which is described as a late-night-style talk show that will explore science and how it intersects with politics, pop culture and society. Each episode will reportedly focus on a topic from a scientific point of view, with Nye debunking myths and taking on anti-scientific claims wherever they originate (politicians, etc.).

It kind of sounds like a combo of Neil deGrasse Tyson’s StarTalk and John Oliver’s Last Week Tonight, except more Netflix-y.

Some of the initial topics the show will tackle include climate change, vaccinations and modified foods. They’ll also be conducting experiments and bringing in special guests. Though it might be addressing some heady fare, Nye said they’ll approach it in a way that will “enlighten and entertain” the audience.

Though he’s remained a fairly relevant figure in pop culture, working with groups like The Planetary Society, this will mark his return to television (not including occasional cameos in stuff like Stargate Atlantis, etc.). Nye famously hosted the PBS series Bill Nye The Science Guy in the 1990s, which I’d imagine 99.9 percent of our readers still remember fondly.

Bill Nye Saves the World is slated to debut on Netflix in the spring.
