Rumor has it an eccentric billionaire has secret plans to build an island amusement park, filled with cloned dinosaurs. Sound familiar? Well, we're not talking about Jurassic Park—this is real life.
In a page right out of the Michael Crichton novel (and Steven Spielberg movie), there are reports that Australian billionaire Clive Palmer is eyeing plans to create his own Jurassic Park. For the uninitiated, Palmer is the guy trying to build the Titanic II.
A report from the Sunshine Coast Daily says Palmer is putting out feelers to see if the science has reached a point where it could be worth giving it a go, and the rumored park would tie-in to a planned resort in the Middle East.
Though some have called the reports false, Palmer remains mum on the prospects of a dino-park. So, for now we can only assume he is riding a pet raptor around his giant estate.
It was only a matter of time.
