In honor of Black History Month, we're looking at some of our favorite heroes over the next 28 days. Today, it's all about Michonne.
First introduced in Robert Kirkman's acclaimed comic run of The Walking Dead, Michonne is one of the strongest female heroes to grace genre fiction. Or, you know, fiction in general. She embraced the end of the world when the undead started walking and hit the road with a katana. She's saved Rick and the gang numerous times and has proven to be a strong ally for those looking to make a go of it in Alexandria. To tell the truth, we'd be scared of her ... if we didn’t know she had a soft spot.
The character has pretty much made the jump to live action perfectly, though in the TV series she turns out to also be Rick's leading lady, to boot.
Join our celebration.
