It’s finally here: The complete and utterly creepy new teaser trailer for Ronald D. Moore’s new Syfy series Helix.

The trailer follows up on those tantalizing snippets we’ve been seeing all week, and sets a pretty frightening scene inside the arctic research base in which the series will be set. The cast is just coming together now, and will be headlined by The 4400 alum Billy Campbell.

Freaky black ooze has been a resounding theme ever since the series was announced, and now we see a few more of its victims. The trailer is essentially some creepily framed shots inside the lab, which finally lands on some (dead?) scientists. A used decontamination chamber can’t close because of a body in the way, and there’s also a spent contamination suit.

But that’s not all. Look closely and you’ll find something is definitely still alive in that air vent. Creepy.

The show marks Moore’s return to Syfy following his legendary run as the mastermind behind the rebooted version of Battlestar Galactica, and is generating quite a bit of buzz on the way to its early 2014 debut.
