Revolution is in the air—or in the Twitter feeds, at least. Black Panther had its premiere screening last night, and the early reactions are fierce, excited, and full of praise for action, acting, and sociological sensibilities.
A movie centering on an African nation, Black Panther shouts, not speaks, for a moviegoing demographic that has thus far been underrepresented in every genre. Now critics are snapping up Marvel’s superhero offering with particular praise to its righting of that aforementioned wrong.
