In our recent run of Blastr TV episodes, we've been looking back at a year that changed movies: 1984. Not only did we get a host of classic films that year as studios searched for the next big franchise post-Star Wars (including at least one stone classic), but we also saw the debut of a new rating that would come to dominate the movie landscape. It was, to put it lightly, a good time to be a fan of sci-fi, fantasy and horror.
In our latest installment, we join Battlestar Galactica's Nicki Clyne for a look back at some of the films that made 1984 great, with a little help from celebrities who have their own fond memories of movies like Ghostbusters, Gremlins, Repo Man, Buckaroo Banzai and more. Watch it below and hear from Ascension's Tricia Helfer, Sharknado star Ian Ziering, geek icon Wil Wheaton, former Ghostbuster Ernie Hudson and more as we take a last look back at an epic year in movie-making.
