Brace yourself for a rocky landing in 60-second Prometheus clip

We're finally down to our last few weeks of waiting before the premiere of Ridley Scott's sort-of Alien prequel Prometheus, and the first full clip from the flick has finally hit the 'net to make the wait a little easier. Watch as Idris Elba guides the titular ship in for a landing on a harsh alien world.

Sorry, no big alien bad guys this time, but we do get a good feel for Elba's performance as Captain Janek, the no-nonsense, cool-as-a-cucumber pilot of the Prometheus. The clip is only a minute long, but it's packed with stunning visuals, including a shot of the ship gliding over its landing site that reveals the familiar Weyland company logo, and a gorgeous view of Elba piloting the ship at a console surrounded by windows, revealing the stormy alien landscape below.

The clip ends with the words those trailers have made us so familiar with: "Prometheus has landed." Unfortunately, the film itself doesn't land until June 8, but now at least we've got a full minute of uninterrupted footage to play back over and over and over until we get the whole flick.
