In the midst of The Crow’s 20th anniversary this week, a video interview with late star Brandon Lee has surfaced, conducted just a few weeks before his death on the film’s set in 1994.
All those years ago, Entertainment Tonight was on hand to chat with Lee about the film as they geared up for the last bit of shooting on what would become a revered genre classic. Its legacy was further cemented by Lee’s tragic death following an accidental shooting on set.
During the interview, Lee chats about his excitement for the project, noting the premise:
“It poses some really interesting questions. If you died, and then somehow a year later you had two days to come back, what would you do?”
The footage from the interview below was shot three weeks before Lee’s death on March 31, 1993, at the age of 28. Check it out, take a moment of silence and then dig out that old Crow DVD. It’s high time for a rewatch.
