Apparently, Brie Larson isn’t just into dressing up as Samus Aran from Metroid for Halloween; she actually wants to play the role for an upcoming movie, should it ever get made. The Academy Award-winning actress, who will also star in the upcoming Captain Marvel as the eponymous heroine, took to Instagram to show off her Halloween costume as ‘Zero Suit Samus.’

“Zero Suit Samus had an evening with Harry Potter and it was cute,” wrote Larson in the post of her looking very much like the hero of the Metroid video game franchise, along with a Harry Potter enthusiast. (And for the record, based on the photo, we agree that it was indeed cute.)

But that’s not all. On Friday, in response to a fan wondering on Twitter if this is the closest we can hope to get to a Metroid movie being made, Larson replied: “I hope not. I want to make that movie.”

Although Nintendo currently has no plans to make a Metroid movie (as far as we know), with anticipation for Metroid Prime 4 growing rapidly, perhaps Captain Marvel’s enthusiasm for playing the legendary bounty hunter role could nudge the company in the general direction towards pre-production?

Until then, we’ve still got Captain Marvel on March 8, 2019, to look forward to (and we guess Metroid Prime 4 as well, but not until much later.)
